2012 Informational Meetings

Current families and new families are invited to attend our upcoming informational meetings designed to focus on specific portions of our school program.  Each meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:30PM and will take place in Fellowship Hall (in the building to the rear of the property).

High School Emphasis Night, "On the Right Track: To College!" February 23rd @ 6:30PM  We will share about our high school program and the many opportunities available to this age group as we help prepare them for college and beyond.  Our high school Guidance Counselor will share important information, tips and timelines for the college choice process. This is also designed to be a time for parents of eighth graders to come and learn about the early steps they can take to "get on the right track" from the first day of freshman year.

There are many points of transition during the elementary years. Parents of students of all ages will benefit from hearing about the "next level" for their students.

General Information Night, May 3rd @ 6:30PM  Join us to learn about our school program. We will share an overview of our school program which begins with PreK-3 and goes up through Grade 12.

2011-2012 Theme: "Look Out!" (for the interests of others)
"Each one of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."  Philippians 2:4
This year, we'll be focusing on looking more outward and less inward--as individuals and as a school.  Our chapels, weeks of spiritual emphasis, retreats, and special activities will focus on this perspective, which can be quite challenging to live out...it is so contrary to what "the world" teaches us.

Celebrating 30+ Years of God's Faithfulness

ACSI

Cornerstone is entering its 31st year of partnership with families in the provision of a Christian education centered on a biblical worldview.

Cornerstone has been a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) since 1981. ACSI is an internationally recognized accrediting organization.  It ensures member schools have undergone careful self-analysis and have met accrediting standards for their educational program.  The Connecticut State Department of Education recognizes ACSI as an approved accrediting agency.

The Kindergarten through Grade 8 program is fully accredited.  Likewise, Cornerstone recently submitted an application to ACSI for accreditation through Grade 12 and is in the midst of its "self study" year leading into re-accreditation.

All Cornerstone teachers actively maintain ACSI teacher certification in order to teach in each of their positions.
