Expected Student Outcomes 

It is Cornerstone’s mission to engage and educate young people to know and be transformed by Christ, and to be equipped to make an impact on the world through an instructional emphasis on: 


Biblical Worldview (BW):

Students will be taught and encouraged to: 

  • Develop a personal relationship with Jesus (Romans 10:9) 

  • Accurately handle the Word of Truth (2 Timothy 2:15) 

  • Grow in their relationship with Jesus through the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 3:6-7) 

  • Be good stewards of God’s creation (Genesis 2:15) 

  • Articulate and defend their Christian worldview while demonstrating a basic understanding of opposing worldviews (Acts 17:22-31) 

  • Display the Fruit of the Spirit in their lives (Galatians 5:22) 


Integrity (I):

Students will witness and strive to be individuals who: 

  • Do all their work for the glory of God (Colossians 3:23) 

  • Respect and relate appropriately with integrity towards the people with whom they work, play, and live 

  • Submit themselves to authority (Romans 13:1) 

  • Develop personal management of time, finances, and organizational skills (Titus 1:8) 


Inquiry for Wisdom (IW):

Students will be equipped through example and instruction to:  

  • Be committed to lifelong learning 

  • Apply scriptures to daily life (James 1:22) 

  • Value intellectual inquiry and contribute to the generation of ideas (Daniel 1:19-20) 

  • Ask questions, solve problems, and actively and consistently use critical thinking skills 


Service to Community (SC):

Students will be encouraged and taught to: 

  • Become actively involved in the Church community while serving God and others (Joshua 22:5) 

  • Understand that work has dignity as an expression of the nature of God (Genesis 2:15) 

  • Have a critical appreciation of languages and cultures of other peoples 

  • Dispel prejudice, promote interethnic harmony, and encourage biblical hospitality for the alien or stranger 

  • Apply interdisciplinary knowledge as competent, productive, and engaged members of society within their communities 


Compassion (C):

Students will be taught to: 

  • Fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20) 

  • Understand the worth of every human being as created in the image of God (Genesis 1:27) 

  • Apply biblical principles to conflict resolution (Matthew 5:9) 

  • Look out for the interests of others (Philippians 2:4)
