Pre-K at Cornerstone

Pre-K Program

Our Pre-K program provides a quality experience for our youngest students!

Our teachers understand that:

  • God created each child as a unique individual.

  • Children learn about God's world through discovery, exploration, and experimentation.

  • More than a brain comes to school! Pre-K students are developing socially, physically, and spiritually, as well as academically.

Therefore, our Pre-K Program is built upon our developmental philosophy.

  • We recognize that God created children as unique individuals who grow at various rates.

  • Our instruction is based on each child's needs, abilities and readiness.

  • We design learning experiences to engage young preschool minds in critical and creative thinking.

  • Our program addresses the development of the whole child--social, intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual.

Pre-K Classrooms

Our Pre-K program consists of our Preschool classroom and our K-Prep classroom.

As a part of our Pre-K to Grade 12 school, students benefit from engaging with the older students and participating in music and physical education classes.

Our Preschool Class

This class is designed for students who turn three years old by September 1. The teacher will guide students through a developmentally appropriate curriculum in a safe and nurturing atmosphere. Our Preschool class focuses on developing social skills and a strong foundation to prepare students for future school success.

Our K-Prep Class

This class is designed for students who turn four years old by September 1. The teacher introduces the students to pre-reading skills through a thematically based curriculum in this class. Our K-Prep class will prepare students academically and socially for a successful Kindergarten experience.

Choosing the Pre-K program of The Cornerstone Christian School for my 3-year-old daughter was one of the best decisions I have made for her. The school is perfect in all ways. A very structured curriculum, safe/clean environment, enthusiastic teachers, nice play ground, good teacher to student ratio, etc. There was not even one day my daughter was not enthusiastic to go to her school. I could see a steady progress in her overall development after she joined Cornerstone. We are a Christian family, and I love how the school weaves the concept of Christianity into the little brains through activities and play.
