Cornerstone Soccer Club Season Summary
The Cornerstone Soccer Club finished the year right at .500, with 5 wins, 5 losses, and 1 tie. It was a season of growth, seeing most of our wins coming in the second half of the season. We were able to clinch the 3rd seed in the southwest region of the New England Association of Christian Schools athletic conference and secure a 3rd place finish in the tournament. Jeremiah Thiel and Javen Lundy were both nominated to the NEACS All-Tournament Team. Seniors Will Yoreo and Mia Pekari performed the role of co-captains and were exceptional servant leaders. We will miss their leadership next season, but I am optimistic that with the growth we had this season coupled with the continued improvements of our up-and-coming players in our spring JV season, the future is bright for Cornerstone Soccer. I want to express a special thanks to Coach Ed Main for his valuable leadership and insight throughout the season. I also want to thank all the parents who supported the team by driving, chaperoning, and cheering us on all season long.
