Hands-on Science!
Middle School Science is BLOWING UP with Learning!
Two of our middle school science classes have been blowing up some hands-on learning!
The sixth grade physical science class had fun learning about the science behind bubbles. Students explored and investigated questions like… What are bubbles made of? What shape do all bubbles become? What color are bubbles and why? What happens if you poke a bubble with scissors coated in bubble solution?
The eighth grade earth science class practiced using the scientific method as they endeavored to create the tallest balloon tower. Students worked in teams and used their problem-solving skills to tackle this challenge. Teams began with a plan but learned to adjust in order to overcome obstacles, such as balloons popping on the grass! Students had fun learning to work together - a skill they will need throughout science classes this school year.
High School Science Takes Flight!
The high school physical science class also began the year by learning about the scientific method. The challenge was to create the paper airplane that would fly the farthest!
